Meet Our New Single-Origin: Kenya AA

Roast Coffee Team

We are always on the lookout for exceptional coffees, and our latest find is a standout. Meet our new Kenya AA from the Nyeri County region, a washed-process lot that is bright, complex, and deeply flavorful.

Tasting Notes

Expect a vibrant cup with blackcurrant sweetness up front, a clean grapefruit acidity in the mid-palate, and a smooth brown sugar finish. It is one of those coffees that reminds you why single-origins are worth seeking out.

About the Origin

Kenya AA refers to the screen size grading used in Kenya, where AA beans are among the largest and most prized. This lot comes from smallholder farmers in Nyeri County, one of Kenya's premier growing regions at elevations above 1,700 meters. The volcanic soil and cool mountain climate create ideal conditions for the complex, wine-like flavors Kenya is known for.

How We Roast It

We profile-roast this coffee on the lighter side to preserve the bright acidity and fruit-forward character. It shines as a pour over or drip coffee, but also makes a lively espresso for those who enjoy a fruity shot.

Get It While It Lasts

Single-origin lots are seasonal and limited. This Kenya AA is available now at the cafe (brewed daily as our featured pour over) and online in 12oz bags. Once it is gone, it is gone until next harvest.
